How to Use reWASD for Free
To get started with using your gamepad, Xbox, DualShock, Nintendo Controllers, etc. follow the short steps below:
Step 1: Launch the app and connect your controller via the USB cable or wireless via a Bluetooth dongle.
Step 2: Click on your gamepad/controller’s icon on the main screen to select it and then click on “Add game profile” to create a custom profile.
Alternatively, you can click on Check Community configs and browse community-made configs for your controller and game. Certain community-made configs grant you enhanced aim to assist in games like COD MW2, Valorant, Apex Legends, etc.

Step 3: Once you’ve loaded or created a profile, you will have the option of mapping your controller to either Virtual Xbox 360, Virtual DualShock 4 (DS4), or Virtual Xbox One. Select either one, you can also remap all individual controller keys if you want. When all is done click on Apply.

Note: Some games may not be compatible with certain controllers like DualShock 4 but are compatible with Xbox controllers, so you’ll have to create a new profile for them and select Virtual Xbox 360 or Virtual Xbox One.
Also in case a game does not support controller input at all then you’ll have to create a profile, select Unmap all and manually map/assign each keyboard/mouse game input to the controller’s button.
